Vacationing Lakeside
A fresh water lake is a wonderful choice for your next vacation destination. Our lake vacation rental will make your vacation at the lake comfortable and relaxing.
Our NH vacation rental is located on Sunrise Lake in Middleton New Hampshire on the southern side of New Hampshire's renowned lakes region. One of 273 lakes in the lakes region, Sunrise Lake is lesser known and happily so by those who live and vacation there.
1 mile long and ½ mile wide, Sunrise Lake encompasses 257 acres in all. The average depth is 6 feet and it is 14 feet at it's deepest.
The sandy beach just across the road from our lake vacation rental is actually in a cove. With a sandy bottom and gradual decline, swimming is excellent in the cove. Not to forget sunbathing, building sandcastle, and general summertime relaxation at the beach is also excellent.
Kayaking on Sunrise Lake
We provide a kayak and canoe at our lake vacation rental. There are lifejackets for all sizes along with paddles and fishing poles if you are interested. The kayak and canoe are put in the water at the boat launch a quarter mile from the house. Therefore we provide wheels making it easy for a single person to wheel them to the boat launch.
You will find that lake kayaking is very relaxing. If you like to get some exercise lake kayaking is a great way to build the upper body. If you just want to spend some time outdoors, then glide around at a slower pace.
I recommend exploring the shoreline. When the depth is 4 feet or less you can see the bottom of the lake through crystal clear water. You can see the fish swim by. Take a ride to the island as well. There is a large sandbar to enjoy.
Sunrise Lake Wildlife
Sunrise Lake in Middleton New Hampshire is a river feed fresh water lake with an abundance of wildlife, our favorite being a family of loon. 2006 is the third year in a row we have had loon on the lake.
The loon are very fascinating creatures. They swim under water for several hundred feet and pop up out of nowhere. I was quite excited to snap this picture.
Sunrise Lake is also packed with bass, small and large mouth, making NH vacation rental a wonderful spot for a Bass Fishing Vacation.
